Sherry "Pokey" Tapplin 62 years of age died, Monday, September 5, 2016 ,at Springate Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home in Memphis, Tennessee. Sherry was born December 10, 1953, in Memphis,Tennessee the daughter of the late Willie Tapplin, Sr. and Julia Katherine Harris-Tapplin.A graduate of Fayette-Ware High School class of 1971. She was employed with Brims Snack company for fourteen years. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Bellgrove M.B. Church Oakland, Tennessee. Visitation with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. with funeral services to follow immediately after. She leaves one daughter, Shiquita Davis (Timmy),Patterson, Sr., one grandson, Timmy Paatterson,Jr.,all of Moscow,Tn.,eight sisters, Dorothy Tapplin,Gloria (Jesse) Harris,Pearlie (Henry) Murrell, Umbra Powell, Marva Giles,Julia (Freddy)Taylor, Mary Norman, Cora Branner, four brothers, James Tapplin,James Ruben (Mary) Tapplin, Willie (Cynthia) Tapplin, Larry (Carla) Tapplin. Many other relatives and friends.
