James Otis Benson

December 21, 1945 — February 9, 2024

James Otis Benson 78 years of age. The son of the late James & Mary Sue Murphy-Benson. A member of Poplar Springs Masonic Lodge # 148.

His survivors include wife Idrilla Jones Benson; four children Renae (Reginald) Boyce, Bianca Jones, David Benson, Brandon Jones, Marcel Jones and Eddie Jones. Fifteen Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren, Five sisters, Willa Bell, Josephine Benson, Mary (Sylvester) Posley, Chaney Benson, Annette Benson, one brother, Henry (Brenda) Benson.

Visitation Friday, Feb. 16th, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Mary Lee Mabone Memorial Chapel Mabone Funeral Home.

Funeral Service Saturday, Feb. 17th, 12:00 Noon, Mt. Olive C.M.E. Church 7420 Old Brownsville Road Somerville, Tn. Rev. Larry Brown Pastor.

Interment Church Cemetery.
