James "Mane" Matthewis, Jr.,66 years of age.
Died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital Bartlett, Tn. The son so the late James Matthewis and Mrs. Emma Lee Webb-Harris. The grandson of the late Annie Mae Wirt-Webb. A member of Pomegranate Masonic Lodge # 37, member of The Oakland A's baseball team,A member of the Dynamatic Stars Gospel Group,of Mason, Tn.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Mabone Funeral Home,LLC Chapel from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2020 ; time 12:00 High Noon at Nollies M.B. Church

" Mane",was saved and baptized at an early age at Springhill C.M.E. Church, Somerville, TN. In later years, he united with the Nollies M.B. Church under the leadership of J.C. Davis. James enjoyed singing in the Male Chorus and serving on the usher board. He was diligent and dedicated to serving. He was the church janitor for over twenty years.
He was a 1972 graduate of Fayette-Ware High School.
He enjoyed listening to quartet groups and watching auto racing. He loved all; auto racing and a huge supporter of the high school basketball games. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.
He was a member of the “Dynamic Gospel Stars” gospel group, Pand a Shriner; finally he worked as an associate of Mabone Funeral Home for over twenty years. He served faithfully in church and in the community until his health declined

James is Survived a loving wife, Mrs. Sundra Graves- Matthewis,Oakland,Tn.: four children; Ms. Jill Morrow, Cordova, Tn., Tolonda Morrow, Memphis, Tn., Letoya M. (Prentiss) Franklin, Oakland, Tn., James Matthewis (Kameisha), Moscow, Tn., and Latonya, Seaberry, Oakland,Tn. Ten grandchildren; six sisters;Marilyn Matthews (Randy Jones), Annie (Ronald) Fields, Delois (Larry) Taylor, Patricia Maclin, Ethel Mae Jones and Jannie Harris
;three brothers;James Randolph (Mary) Harris, Danny ( Susan) Harris, John Wayne ( Verniece ) Harris.four Uncles.Leroy ( Betty ) Webb, Leo Webb, G.W. ( Ernestine ) Webb, and James ( Patricia ) Webb. One Aunt, Betty Webb; Mother-in-law, Mary Alice Graves.
