Doris Giles Retired postal service for Hartford, CT.  The daughter of the late Fred Giles and Lousie Clark- Giles of Oakland, TN.

Doris Lee Giles was born on March 05, 1943, in Oakland, TN to Fred and Louise Giles who preceded her
in death. Doris passed away on October 2, 2023. She graduated from Fayette County Training School in
Somerville, TN. Doris graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor degree in
Business Education. She retired from the Federal Government after 33 years. Doris was also employed
with Swift Textile Metalizing for 23 years at the time of her death. Andre Buchanan her long- term
companion and love of her life that preceded her in death. Doris and Andre loved traveling and
exploring the world. She leaves to cherish her memories sisters. Alice Walton of Memphis, TN. Ethelene

Susie Kelley of Cordova, TN. Deborah A Giles of Cordova, TN. Dr. Carnesa Giles of Lakeland, TN. Glenda
Sims (cousin) who she loved as a sister. Brother Fred (Deborah) Giles of Oakland, TN. David (Gwendolyn)
Giles of Oakland, TN. Julius M Giles of Nashville, TN. Vernon Woods brother-in-law who she loved as a
brother. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well god son. Her long- time friends Eleanor T Lane,
Az and Krystal Ndukwu of Connecticut, a host of close friends and co-workers in Connecticut. Her
classmates who she would ask about each time when traveling on vacation to Oakland, TN Verila Miller,
Genet Prewitt (cousin), Annie Flipplin, and Pauline Clark (cousin). Doris loved spending time with her
family and friends when visiting TN twice a year in July and November.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, October 13th, 2023, at Mabone Funeral Home, LLC. (Mary Lee Mabone Memorial Chapel).

From 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 14th, 2023, 11:00 am, at Nollies M.B. Church 10450 Feathers Chapel Dr, Somerville, TN 38060.
