Doris Coleman Fouche`

Doris Coleman Fouche, 78, passed away peacefully after her battle with cancer on Feb. 2, 2022. The Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leftwitch and Elsie Grandberry Coleman of Somerville, Tennessee. She was a faithful member of Wesley C.M.E. Church. Doris was a devoted educator and taught in Greenwood and Port Gipson, MS, Houston, TX, Frankfort, KY, Decatur, GA, and Somerville, TN as she traveled with her husband. After she retired, Doris kept busy and she was happy to volunteer every Tuesday at NHC Health Center doing manicures for the residents and socializing with them. She enjoyed shopping, especially with her daughter, socializing with her friends, crocheting and creating beautiful heirlooms for her family. She is survived by her daughter, Twyla (Marlon) McBride; grandson, Matthew; sisters, Joyce McCrary, Hiwatha Martin, Modestyne Norment, and Claudette Tharp; brother in law, David Fouche’ and sisters in law, Precious Banks and Rosa Coleman; aunt, Dorothy Coleman and many nieces, nephews, family and good friends. Her loving husband, Wilburn H. Fouche’, preceded her in death in 2012. Funeral services have been entrusted to Mabone Funeral Home in Somerville, TN.

Doris will lie in state from 10:00 - a.m.- 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 at Wesley C.M.E. Church 2780 Shady Grove Road Highway 195 Somerville, TN.

Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 Noon. Dr. Jellory Stokes, Pastor, Officiating.
