Clara Mae Woods- Pierce "Dear" was born May 2, 1952 in Oakland, Tn. to the late Vetrice Woods and Joe Ray Holloway. She attended Fayette County public schools. "Dear" confessed her love for christ at Nollies M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Reverend James C. "J.C" Davis. There she served as a Mother on the Mother's Board until God called her home. Clara was employed over eleven years by Fayette County School Board as a Cook in the Dietary Department.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories a loving and devoted husband; James Pierce, Jr. ; three daughters, Ruby,Barbara, and Tonia;a step-daughter Annie; two sons; Charles (Wyndolyn), and James (Dafaynne), fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. ;two sisters Alma and Eileen ; three brothers; Vance, Fletcher (Ann), and Vincent.

Viewing Friday, July 10th, 2020 at Mabone Funeral Home 1435 Teague Store Road Somerville,Tn. from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, July 11th, 2020 ; 12:00 Noon at McCulley Cemetery, Oakland, Tn.

Interment  McCulley Cemetery, Oakland, Tn.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we will be practicing social distancing and ask that all in attendance please wear your mask and gloves. Please follow the instructions of the funeral director and staff. Due to the COVID-19 stipulations, we can only allow ten people in the building at a time for viewing. There will be no gathering inside the Funeral Home during the visitation. Please adhere to social gathering practices put in place at the Funeral Home and or church to help protect our community. family is aware that 45-50 guest of the family, friends and can attend the private Homegoing service.
